Pete Best
Tonight, Pete Best and his band will be performing at Threadgill's World Headquarters in South Austin. Drawing on material from the Beatles' early days in Hamburg, Best's band will offer a rocking retrospective of the band's early covers and singles. Austin is accustomed to rock legends setting up shop in town, but rarely does an original Beatle make it down here.
So why does he still do it? Does he need the money? Is he spiteful of his successful friends? Maybe, but it doesn't really matter. For the rock 'n' roll historian and purist, his appearance tonight is a can't-miss.

His tremolo is great! I love his voice very much. He has his own talent and no one can take that away from him.
