Decade's best: Eminem tops in sales; Beatles get No. '1' album

The race to dominate the decade in music has come down to Eminem and The Beatles in the stretch. The winner?

Both. The rapper emerges as the top-selling artist of the past 10 years, and the Fab Four have bragging rights to the best-selling album.

With 32.2 million copies sold, Eminem leads the pack in overall album sales, followed by The Beatles with 30 million, according to Nielsen SoundScan, which releases its decade tabulations today. Data were tallied through Nov. 1, and though figures could rise through Dec. 31, they won't alter the rankings.

Note: This is absolutely true and it make sense!

(comment)---that's why the Beatles' accomplishment is so amazing. the top album of the decade for a band that broke up 40 years ago! they broke up but never really went away. their shelf life is probably permanent.

Gossip here and there 2009

Hollywood Gossip

The Late Peter Sellers

The call came on Christmas Eve, probably 1977. 'What are you doing tomorrow?' asked Peter Sellers. 'Not a lot,' I told him. 'Would you like to come and do not a lot with Lynne and me?'
'I'd be delighted,' I said. 'Please, don't be delighted; be depressed,' said Peter. 'That way, there's room for improvement.'
'When would you like me to come?' 'It's not really that I'd like you to come, John - though I've nothing against you, of course.

Oliva Harrison Salutes George on Anniversary of His Passing

Chris Carter, host of the nationally syndicated Breakfast with the Beatles, received the following note from Olivia Harrison marking the anniversary of George Harrison's death.

Thank you Chris and each one of you for remembering George today. The love we feel for him grows and grows.

I think of George and a million wonderful things flood my mind and heart. And a million things in the world remind me of him, from a leaf blowing across the sky to hum of a guitar string.

God bless us all. Send your warm loving thoughts to all the people in the spiritual sky and your kind actions to the people here in the material world, especially those in need.

Love from Olivia and Dhani

Facebook Privacy Controls

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has just written an open letter to Facebook users regarding a privacy overhaul that is due to hit the site in the next few weeks. Soon, users will be able to selectively choose, on a per-post basis, who can see the content they post to the site. Facebook is also going to remove regional networks entirely, largely because some of those networks (like China) consist of millions of users, which makes them useless from a privacy standpoint. Well, I have nothing to worry about my Facebook! We will see what is going to happen--for now--just sit back and relax!

Here is another news from MSNBC

As Time Goes By...

Shinan: Me, Morocco and Jennifer Aniston

Well, poor you! You weren't aggressive enough to just say hello Jen...you have a beautiful hair! Why the 'ell chasing her and not knowing her in person! You are scared--I guess, you have no confidencein yourself I understand, or, you were not so very good looking enough to face Jen and gorgeous Salma Hayek? Paltrow is okay having kids and married but I still like her as an actress. So, what’s the hold up, eh?
Ha ha ha how funny! Jen was playing her hair. I guess she has nothing to play with and at 40, she still looks pretty and beautiful but that somber look! However, hey, you don't know what fate waits you, Jen...10 more years Jen! Ha ha!

Tiger Woods Makes Statement

fanhouse.com
nytimes

Hmmmm...once again the truth comes out! The lover or mistress or whatever they call it is now making money out of Tiger Woods. Lol! She has been talking to the press about it and of course the nosey media would love to hear more of the stuff about them adulterers. The media would make tons of money about this new breaking news.

I feel sad about the security of his kids and lovely decent wife.
Okay!

video: Hear Tiger Panic to Mistress: "My Wife Be Calling You"

On Nov. 24 -- the day before reports of his alleged infidelity first surfaced -- Tiger Woods, 33, phoned his off-and-on girlfriend, 24 year-old Los Angeles cocktail waitress Jaimee Grubbs, and left a message in which he begged her to change her voicemail greeting.

Unforgettable sports scandals: see the slideshow

"Hey, it's Tiger," he says in the voicemail, obtained by Usmagazine.com (listen above). "I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. So if you can, please take your name off that. Just have it as a number on the voicemail. You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye."[...]

I'm sorry Tiger Wood--ya got caught! Lie lie liar! You are a shame to your wife who is so devoted to you and look what you did! A**H****! You have no conscience and no respect to you children! A cheater is always a cheater. Shame on you!

Julian Lennon and partners start music company

“I had to be very much at a certain point in my life to be able to accept this and feel it was right to do it now,” Lennon told Spinner. “As many out there know, for a long time I wouldn’t say that I shunned dad or the Beatles, but I certainly side-stepped them and wanted to carve my own path, so to speak. “I think it was coming to terms with a lot of issues I felt I needed to deal with. I went through quite a few issues with dad.” Julian Lennon
That's great Jules! I admire you for doing this and I am sure it is going to be fab!
