Anfield Liverpool Sound gig will be just like playing to my mates- Paul McCartney

SIR PAUL McCartney today saluted Liverpool audiences and said playing at Anfield this weekend would be like “playing to my mates”.
The former Beatle will perform before more than 35,000 people as part of his contribution to Capital of Culture year.
He will be joined by The Zutons, Kaiser Chiefs and the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl at the stadium gig.

Sir Paul said: “It’s great to be playing Anfield because it’s such a historical ground.

“I love Liverpudlian audiences because they’re my people. To them, it’s one of their lads coming to play and for me, it feels like I’m playing to my mates.
